The wizard follows the job rather than the form. You can leave a certificate as a draft at any point and pick it up at the next property.
Open a certificate and pick the property
Start a Domestic Landlord Certificate, then find the address. The postcode lookup fills the street, town and postcode, so you type a house number and move on. Properties you have been to before come back with their details already attached.
Record the tenant and the landlord separately
The occupier and the person responsible for the property are different people and the record treats them that way. Whoever receives the certificate gets it at their own email address.
Add every appliance on site
One card per appliance, as many as the property has. Photograph the data badge and AI Snap & Fill reads the make, model, type and flue from the nameplate and fills the card, then you check it. Combustion readings, spillage and smoke pellet tests, ventilation and the safe-to-use decision are all on the same card.
Work through pipework and alarms
Visual inspection of the installation, emergency control valve access, gas tightness and protective bonding. Carbon monoxide alarm fitted, in date and tested, and whether a smoke alarm is present.
Write up defects and the work you did
Faults found, what you rectified, the work carried out, and whether you fitted a flue cap. Free text with formatting, so a long explanation stays readable on the PDF.
Sign it and send it
Sign on the screen with a finger, add who received it, and email the PDF from the app before you get back in the van. The certificate is stored against that property for next year.

Medium Link is software. It does not carry out gas inspections and it cannot make an installation safe. A certificate is valid because a Gas Safe registered engineer inspected the appliances and signed for that work. You stay responsible for every technical judgement on the record and for meeting the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.
