Scope

Medium Link implements the CP17 Gas Installation Safety Report for non-domestic installations. It does not produce other commercial forms, and we would rather tell you that here than after you have signed up.
Commercial gas work needs the right commercial qualifications on your Gas Safe registration. Medium Link records and formats the report you produce. It does not assess the installation, and it cannot tell you whether the work is within your scope of registration. That judgement stays yours.

Your engineer details
Name, company, Gas Safe registration and ID card number. Saved once in settings, then carried onto every report you write.
The client and the site, kept apart
Commercial work separates the responsible person from the premises. The report holds both: who is accountable and who gets invoiced, and the building where the installation sits.
The installation and its pipework
Nine checks across the installation, each recorded as a pass, a fail or not applicable, so a reader can tell the difference between a check that passed and one you never made.
Each appliance on the installation
One card per appliance, with the measurements commercial work needs: heat input, gas rate, operating pressure, flue flow and spillage testing, and the combustion readings.
Works, defects and any warning notice
Record what you did and what you found. If the installation is At Risk or Immediately Dangerous, the report carries the warning notice: whether it was issued, whether the label went on, and who you notified.
Declare, review and send
Sign on screen, note who received it, review the whole report, then email the PDF. It is forced onto a single page, the same as the domestic certificate.
